The Relay For Life
Happy Monday!
So everyone, a while back I went to the Lloydminister Relay For Life!
It was a wonderful time! I met a ton of great people, and got to participate in what was the latest night of my life (awake for 24 hours!)
Unfortunately because I could only use my on camera microphone and the surplus of wind, many of my interviews couldn’t be used simply because you could not hear them. The one interview that was salvaged is still hard to hear, but hopefully all of your little ear’s can get by!
Some fast facts from the event:
As of June 2, Lloydminster Relay For Life has raised $315,764 (online and offline).
The event included:
- 92 teams
- 930 participants
- 226 survivors
- 3,629 luminaries
- 400 volunteers
I’m so glad I got to be part of such a wonderful event!
It is estimated that in 2009, 75,300 Canadians will die from cancer-related deaths. You can make a difference. Donate or learn how.
By the way, it’s also Summer Jobs week.
So let’s roll!
