Should Young & Free go Live?

Hey everyone!

Last week's poll was about cell phone banking. We asked you which banking feature would be most convenient on your mobile. The results were interesting, considering 31% of you would never even consider doing your banking through your mobile phone! Despite this, another 31% of you did say that being able to check your balances the same way you check your text messages would be nice.

On to the next poll question!

This week's poll was not submitted on the website... I decided to be selfish and use the poll to gauge the reaction to a new Y&F idea of mine...

You see, lately I've been scoping out sites like Yahoo Live!, Ustream.tv and Stickam.com.

Basically what they enable you to do is "broadcast" live from your webcam. Anyone can log onto the site and watch, but a chat option is available for registered members. This means that viewers can interact with whoever is broadcasting by asking questions or commenting on content as it's streaming.

My immediate thought? Young & Free Live TV!
It would work kind of like a radio program in the way that we'd invite anyone and everyone to tune in at a certain time each week. It would be a really cool way to interact with other Y&F site followers, and the opportunity would be there to ask questions and influence the content of the show.

But in order for an idea like this to be successful, it needs... well... viewers. That's why I need to know if you would be willing to tune in every now and then:

Would you try watching Young & Free Live on the internet? Answer the poll here.

If there's enough interest, I will do a "how to watch Y&F Live" blog post so that everyone has the chance to familiarize themselves with tech side of it all!

Any additional thoughts? Any ideas for an ideal time slot? Post 'em in a comment below!

If you are interested in doing a radio program, check out http://talkshoe.com . It lets people phone it from their computer or their home/cell phone to hear the show.

talkshoe is also cool, but I really want to test out video. (the mention of a radio program was meant to explain how the time slot works...) thanks, though!
