New poll: The most innovative companies

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you're enjoying Easter weekend!

In last week's poll, we asked you to spot the fake Leprechaun fact. 59% of you were right on the money:
"Leprechaun" I - VI is a series of comedic movies about modern-day Leprechauns.

"Leprechaun" I - VI is actually a series of horror movies starring Jennifer Aniston in which a mean Leprechaun goes on a killing spree in order to get his gold back from an American. Lovely.

The rest of the choices were true facts (and yes, Leprechauns can be found on cereal boxes – Lucky Charms!).

The inspiration for this week's poll comes from a magazine I'm reading. It features an article that lists the 50 most innovative companies. I've grabbed a few from the list and put them in the poll. I want to see whether you rank corporate innovation the same way the magazine does.

This week's poll question is:

Which of the following companies do you think is the most innovative?

The choices are Nike, Google, Wal-Mart, Apple, Burton, Facebook, Nintendo, and Amazon.

Take the poll here.

What makes a company innovative in your books? How did you single out one of the choices as being more innovative? Share your thoughts by posting a comment below.

And if you have a question you want to see answered in the weekly Y&F poll, send it my way:

Or else... more Leprechaun trivia. You have been warned.

Apple all the way! Wal-Mart? You were kidding right? :)

The reason Wal-Mart made the list was because despite its reputation as a big-box behemoth, it's actually taking some environmentally-conscious strides.

In 2007, it doubled the market for energy-saving lightbulbs and installed solar-power systems on certain stores and warehouses.

Lightbulbs... Behemoth. Lightbulbs... Behemoth.

Wow. Point taken. I was thinking that it couldn't be because of Wal-Mart's innovative retail environments or its spiffy fashion section. But the light bulb thing is pretty cool.

Can I change my vote? Apple sucks. :)
