Myles Peterman is the 2009 Young & Free Alberta Spokesperson!
Y&F Alberta TeamMyles Peterman, 18, from Edmonton, Alberta proved he best represents 17 to 25-year-olds by securing the vast majority of votes in a weeklong battle for what Larissa, our previous spokester called, "the most fun and rewarding job a person can ever have."
With the help of Myles mom, we surprised him and more than 40 friends and family on Sunday night at the West Edmonton Boston Pizza. Myles was blown away. Take a look at the video!
Myles, an aspiring actor and filmmaker, secured 48 per cent of the votes with his aggressive online campaign where he posted creative blogs and vlogs on the Young & Free website, on YouTube, on Flickr and on Twitter. With a Facebook group of more than 300 members and videos receiving 3,000+ views on YouTube, Myles worked hard to be everywhere his peers were online.
"Myles really delivered throughout his campaign to become this year's Young & Free Spokester," said Kim Crockett, Young & Free Manager. "His blogs, podcasts, videos and photographs were well thought out and effectively showcased his dynamic personality and ability to deliver quality content online."
"An opportunity of this magnitude doesn't present itself often, and I am ecstatic to be the next spokester," said Myles. "I will do everything in my creative power to best represent Servus Credit Union, the outstanding Young & Free account, and the 25 and under crowd. It's time for me to pick up where Larissa left off and honestly, I could not be more excited."
