Lindsay makes 10! Lindsay Makichuk is Young & Free!

Lindsay Makichuk is 19 and from Lloydminster who in fact did get her application in on time! The application form on our website gave an error and we didn't receive all of the details. Without further ado, here is Lindsay!

"Let’s talk about freebies. I don’t think I know of anyone who doesn’t like free stuff. Whether it’s a magnet, sticker or water bottle from some promotion event, discovering you’ve rolled a free coffee when that Tim’s season we all love so much hits, or landing a great “buy one get one free” deal, free stuff is great! I’m personally a fan of free things, like those candies on the front desk of a hotel or when I catch a free sample day at the local grocery store!"

"Mind you, I’m a firm believer that anything worth accomplishing takes hard work, and lots of it, and I’d be the last person to leave something important to chance. But free things really can impact someone’s day for the better. Think about it, isn’t your day so much better after sharing a story, a laugh or a smile with an old friend, new friend or even complete stranger? How about when you hop into your car and find the radio playing your favourite song? Or even when you’re in a hurry and the person in front of you waits to hold open the door you’re headed toward? Although it’s great to catch a sale or freebie every now and then, the best things come in the form of actions people can do for each other to make all our lives a little brighter. And as we all know, the best things in life are free!"

"My name is Lindsay Makichuk and I’m 19 years old, living in the good ‘ol border city of Lloydminster. I’m attending Lakeland College, currently enrolled in the University Transfer program working towards getting my Commerce degree. I’m also employed at CWCU as an MSR, a job I really like because no day is ever the same and I get to meet a lot of fun and interesting people. I love anything to do with the theatre; I am a part of a dance group that performed at the United Nations in New York last March. I am also a huge sports fan, and am competing on the college team for (you guessed it!) curling!"
