De-clutter your wallet using the Internet

Wallets come with only so many slots for credit cards. My current wallet has six slots – which theoretically should suit me just fine, considering I really only need my ID and my Common Wealth Member Card whenever I go out. Theoretically.

In reality, my wallet is packed with all the rewards cards I've picked up over the years. You know, the discount cards and the club cards. I don't use them often, but I use them enough that I'd feel guilty if I tossed them.

But it's not working out with my wallet right now. It's so bloated with shopper cards I can barely close the snap. Enter JustOneClubCard.com

JustOneClubCard is a very simple site with a great concept. You enter up to 8 barcodes from your various discount cards, and the site generates them and positions them in such a way that once you print them out, they will take up as much space as just one card.

The site has many store discount card types to choose from – I created a card with barcodes from the following locations: Save On Foods, Best Buy, Costco, American Eagle, Chapters, Ricki's, and Staples.

There are certain stores on the site that you cannot choose, simply because the barcode type is too long to reprint, or the barcode also serves as your account number at a certain store (and you don't want to be putting that kind of info on the internet!). I believe the latter is the case with Blockbuster and Shoppers Drug Mart, for instance.

I haven't had the opportunity to use my 7-in-1 discount card yet, but once I do, I will let you know how it works! In the meantime, check out the site for yourself.

Just a little web tip to return your wallets to their natural (closeable) state.
