Hey everyone!
This morning I'm off to do an interview on City TV's Breakfast Television (about a recent YouTube video of mine), so wish me luck!
Now, I realize that it's only been a few weeks since I last blogged about slogans, but I caught a little piece in the Edmonton Journal the other day that I had to share with you guys.
Apparently, the folks at the Washington Post held a contest that asked readers to submit new mottos and tourism slogans for countries all over the world. Here are a few honorable mentions:
Austria: No Kangaroos.
Bermuda: Come Lose Yourself.
Canada: Home of the Almighty Dollar. (yes!)
China: Come Visit Your Money.
Columbia: All It's Cracked Up to Be.
Denmark: Oh, So Nothing's Rotten in Your Country?
England: We Couldn't Beat the Patriots, Either.
France: Visit, If You Must. (Sigh.)
Galapagos Islands: Guano Happens.
Germany: It Is Not Necessary to Have a Humorous Slogan.
Greenland: Site of the 2060 Summer Olympics.
India: For More Information, Press 1.
Mexico: A Little Less Crowded Every Day.
Norway: Just a Little to the Left of Sweden.
Qatar: Wish U Were Here.
United States: We Make the World a Warmer Place.
All these tourism slogans remind me of the Y&F road trip coming up this month... Dates and locations to be released on the site soon...

haha. that's funny. I wonder if anyone ever gets confused and goes to Austria instead of Australia. I might do something like that...
Austria would be neat though, I could visit the Von Trapp family!

I think I'm pretty much in love with all of these. Especially Denmark. People who quote lit. are my heroes until the end of time!

Kt – I know, eh? It made me feel very intelligent (in an "I get this because I took LA in high school") kind of way.
