Here is James' current situation:
"I’m in my 4th year of my education degree and I just starting to get scared about the real world. I have one year to decide if I want to start globe-trotting, or if I was to settle down with a sensible job and an even more sensible pay cheque. But in the mean time, I’m going to keep hanging out with my friends and enjoying myself. I do a lot of art, and I’m constantly volunteering for new causes. I love to keep busy and learn new things. Hopefully I get to learn something new from the Credit Union this year."

"Halloween Candy 101
Getting the right candy for Halloween can be hard but a necessary evil that can save your house from potential Tom-foolery and other such shenanigans. This year, keep your canned goods, and don’t give the kids a reason to get revenge. You can get better treats for cheaper; it just takes planning.
Price: Higher price does not mean a better candy. Stores always inflate the price of candy in October. One of the better ways to get around this is to buy your candy well in advance. If the bags of candy can survive a nuclear fallout, which they can, the will last a month in your pantry. Don’t try making your own assortments of bagged candy. If it’s not factory sealed, kids shouldn’t be eating it. These homemade bags just get thrown out. If you are dead-set on doing something unique then look for a local candy store that makes suckers. These candy makers should be able to make hundreds of flavours, like key lime pie, or root beer. The price is a little higher because the candy is not factory made, but you should be able to find them for around 75 cents when buying in bulk- easily worth it to have pie flavours on a stick.
Colour: The brighter the better. Candy corn yellow is always a good choice, but I’ve always been partial to electric blues. No one likes getting candy that looks like beef jerky. You can’t guess the flavour of a candy when it looks like shoe leather.
Taste: Always taste the candy yourself. This can be dangerous for me since I have little self control. That’s why I always buy extra. The candy should be a mix of flavours – it’s not enough to just be sweet. If the taste doesn’t do something for you after the first bite, try getting another candy. Great salt water taffy has a several flavours in it. There is the sugar to sweeten, a specific flavour like apple to add a little bitter tang, and the salt to open the taste buds.
All three of these aspects have to balance each other out, or else you end up with a mouth full of sugar. Avoid black licorice like a plague. Unless you have a lot of geriatric trick-or-treaters, you’ll be stuck with most of your stash at the end of the night. Not many young people like the taste. Follow these tips, and you’ll have happy, and potentially diabetic, children in you area. Good luck ;)"
Excellent job James!
