Here is Daniel's current situation:
"Earlier this year I finished my upgrading so I can go to university. Currently I am working full time in the crazy world of construction, trying to make some extra dough to pay off bills and get money for university. I love to meet new people and would love nothing more than to be the spokesperson for Common Wealth. I think I would be more than perfect for the job! (see aplication video). I would love the chance and strongly believe I can bring alot to the table. I love speaking in front of people, I love making videos and podcasts, and I love blogging! wooot! Anyways, when in university I plan on taking a public speaking course for sure, as I would love to get better at something I'm already great at. Also I currently have 30 sweater vests."
Here is Daniel's blog post:
"Haaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy all! Hope everyone’s doing beyond great. I know I am, well at least now I am. My day started off beyond excellent, I woke up to one of my all time favorite songs, felt surprisingly well rested and had time for a delicious and well needed breakfast! Something that almost never happens.
As the day progresses, I arrive to work only to be told that we have a fire drill today! SCORE! Incase your wondering, there’s nothing more fun and exciting than a fire drill, at least to me. I quickly head to my locker where I find a ten dollar bill! It must have fallen out of my wallet or something! There’s not a better way to start your day than finding money.
But my walk of luck doesn’t stop there believe it or not. Every morning we have this meeting before we start the day, and guess who was picked to to “host” the meeting? None other than me! Which I love by the way, I find public speaking one of the most exhilarating things ever. But here’s where things start to get a bit droopy. That fire drill we had, yeah… we didn’t get such a great escape time. Partially because I was working in a part of the yard which I was unable to hear the actual fire horn go off. I was working and I thought to myself “man things sure are quite”. I decide to do some looking around. Upon investigation I realize that everyone is out in the parking lot! So I run on over to the clustered lot only to be told that I was the only one who “didn’t make it out okay” What does that mean?! Am I okay? Did I survive?
So lunch time finally hits and the lunch/snack guy graciously reminds me I owe $13.75 on my I.O.U. tab……Well remember that 10 bucks I found? Guess what, it’s gone faster than I found it. Sooooo, after lunch is done and over with, I work really super hard so time fly’s by fast and so I’m that much closer to my promotion. It works, the end of the day is just about upon us! So I go to jump down from the ladder I was working on when I accidently missed a step on the ladder thus stepping to far down……rip……..my jeans……just ripped in the dreaded crotch area , semi exposing my tighty whities…..oh man, are you serious!
How could a day that started so good turn into this! I walk past all my laughing co-workers to my car and proceed to drive on home. When I get home, I head upstairs to my room and proceed to change out of my sad ripped jeans. When BAM! What’s this? A Cineplex movie ticket pass! Wicked! Guess what I’m doing this weekend. Also I look at my calendar and guess what?! Tomorrow is payday! How could I forget payday! It's one of my favorite days! Well, this is starting to make up for such an awful day! When suddenly, I found out my brother ordered pizza! And he paid, sweet! Free dinner! As I sit here writing this blog, my tummy is full with delicious bacon pizza, payday is less than 4 hours away and I have plans tomorrow after work to see a movie! I’m pretty much happy as can be!
The day wasn’t that bad after all! Well my friends I’m going to go watch some primetime TV, until next time… Later Days Amigos!
Dan(iel) Johnstone
P.S. Don’t forget Thanksgiving is coming up, make sure you find something to be thankful for, I’ve already got mine, I’m thankful for the fact the I haven’t seen or heard the Jonas Brothers for more than 24 hours, maybe their fad is dying out."
Great job Daniel!
