Does Amanda Wyness have what it takes to be the Young & Free Spokesperson?

Applicant number seven is 18-year-old Amanda Wyness from Grande Praire and she has a thing or two to say in her video!

Here is Amanda's blog post:

"I have the greatest amount of concern for my fellow man, these days. I find myself questioning my every action with eight hundred different perspectives whizzing through my mind at light speed; I am very politically correct. Perhaps too correct. I like to connect with people. I like to see someone who is unhappy, and make them happy. I like having that understanding of what is wrong, and that knowledge of how to make it better. I think that's why I do really well in the service industry."

"If people are happy, I try to find out why and maybe make it better. If they're unhappy, well, the process is fairly obvious. I've been told I deliver good customer service, but I find I just like to treat people in a manner that is welcoming and friendly, the same way I would like to be treated when I go to local businesses. I spend a ridiculously large amount of time in the places that I feel welcome in. Businesses don't seem to recognize that. It's called the service industry for a reason."

"I believe passionately in dreams. Too often I find people 'just getting by' or 'just punching in their time' without any real goal or even a dream to support the action. It troubles me. Everyone deserves that glow that a sense of purpose provides you, and everyone needs a reason to get up in the morning besides responsibility. I'd love to be able to give that to people. That hope, that dream, that belief that maybe your dreams are attainable, and a means to make it work. I'd love to be able to connect with people in such a meaningful way. Maybe I'll just have to start small."
