Wow, some kind of winter we have entertained this year in the arctic region we call Central Alberta. This years winter reminds me somehow of...Read More
Here’s a little inspiration!
So I read about this one guy who ran a marathon quite a while ago (a couple years or so). But before we go any further, let me first say if you have ran a marathon, I give mad props to you! It’s been added to the bucket list and hopefully one day I can achieve that level.
Anyways, I noticed this fellow in the news again only a few weeks ago and was absolutely astonished and inspired! His name is Maickel Melamed and to me he is an unbelievable person. He suffers from muscular dystrophy but his never-quit attitude outlasts any condition.
Most recently he completed the Chicago Marathon in 16 hours and 46 minutes. You might want to read that again because it’s 100% true. That’s a pretty grueling, unbelievable accomplishment right? Well, he has now done it three times. THREE TIMES! I’ve never met him but I can say his story has truly inspired me, and with the help of this post, maybe he can inspire others as well!
Lastly, remember all of those who have fought to protect our country we love so much!
Lest We Forget,
I look back through the many Thanksgiving experiences, everything from burnt turkeys to electrical nightmares, and realize that in the end every one of them builds a warm place. Here’s a question. What have your grandparents taught you throughout your life? I seem to focus on what my parents, siblings, friends, sports teams and co-workers teach me. Maybe it’s because the distance to my grandparents was a little extreme with having to cross the...Read More
This blog is pretty simple. Stay SAFE this May long. I’m not too sure how much of an effect it will have but it’s always top of my mind this weekend. The upcoming weekend is one of my favorite times of year! Usually it involves...Read More
